NFL Produksjoner is a Norwegian music services and production company, founded and run by Njål Frode Lie.
Music production services available include Mixing, Mastering and Productions.
 ― Hi, my name is Njal Frode.
Over the years I've been involved in several productions and work for both the major labels EMI and Polygram―and several minor labels; Edel, Mega, Scandinavian Records, Nordic Records, Norsk Plateproduksjon, and Grammofon Records.
Credits include co-production and co-writing of two official national sales chart top-ten hits, 'Tender Heart', and 'Colour of Love', released on EMI back in the nineties, contribution of music for several shorts and commercials, and for two feature films.
My full-time job is basically Mixing and Mastering for clients coming from all over the world. In addition to Norwegian clients, the majority is from Western Europe, Russia, USA, and Canada.
Most of the clients are independent artists and indie record labels.
I have also done work for production companies like Anno Domini Records in the UK, and M16 Productions in France, and I do regular work for the labels Nordic Records and Grammofon Records in Norway.
I've worked many hours in several studios over the years, a couple of years in Studio S in Strømmen, and also quite a bit in Pan Studio, Skjetten, and Rainbow 3 Studio, Oslo, and now recently, some recording and mixing in Jukejointstudio, Notodden.
I have logged lots of time behind the desk recording local bands and artists to tape, and also lots of time renting time in studios for making radio-commercials, back in the days when that was what I did for a living.
At a time when analog rules and the digital 8-track AMS Audiophile in Rainbow 3 Studio, cost 35 000 Euros...
Now I have my new studio in Hydroparken, in Notodden, Telemark, Norway, with state-of-the-art digital equipment, and fast internet lines for speedy up and download.

Short bio:
Njal Frode Lie began playing the guitar at the age of 9, and joined his first band only a year later.
As a guitarist in a local blues band, he had his first TV appearance at 13. Six years later he became a sound engineer at Studio S in Strømmen, recording and mixing bands for two years.
After making a living creating radio advertisements and music for short films, he co-formed the group Trancylvania with which he was signed to EMI in 1994. It was here that Njal co-produced and co-wrote the top 10 hits, “Tender Heart” and “Colour of Love”. These two songs combined sold over 500,000 copies.
Njal plays the guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, and percussion, and use very little samples in his productions, preferring to play and do the sound-design himself.

About the name NFL Produksjoner:
'NFL' are initials for my name, Njål Frode Lie.
'Produksjoner' is Norwegian for 'Productions'
Njal is an old viking name, - the oldest Viking saga is called Njal's saga.
